There’s been loads of rearranging behind the scenes this year.  Stay tuned for proper announcements of work in development, future plans, and a full reboot of the site with all of our past shows’ information handy.

Making Strange Theatre Company is dedicated to creating dazzling, daring new works by premiering texts from abroad for the Irish stage, and creating original theatrical pieces with a focus on collaboration with international practitioners. Of particular interest to the company is exploring the stories we tell ourselves—that is, not the storytelling of an entire time and culture, but the stories we as individuals tell ourselves to get through our lives, and how they grow and change.

Making Strange’s trad-rock-mashup extravaganza Pop Céilí will perform one night only at the ABSOLUT Fringe Festival Club in September.

Currently in development for 2012 is an original piece, You Remember the Stories You Wish Were True as part of Fishamble’s New Play Clinic.
